i should start blogging!

dear myself...i know u love to have friends, talking, hanging around so much. because you hate to be alone. but if talking and being loud make others feel awkward...i guess you need to tone down or stop!
that's why some say silent is the best...if u don't have something good to say..better say nothing.
because words are sharper than a blade
[double sigh]
first reminder: do not talk rubbish!
second reminder: don't talk like you know everything...
third reminder: only hope and let out your sadness to Him.
so dear myself...start blogging!
anything...when you are sad...when you are wronged..when the world let you down, only grumble to Him!
He is the most merciful and the most beneficer.

my passion...

i love shopping...i love crafting...
i love pretty stuff!
i love to see, watch, feel and touch them even though i can't owned them..there's a joy..glitter feeling within
that is the reason why i'm soo into being a personal shopper! *wink*
don't want to write more on my shopping habit because if in any case my mother reads this she will kill me! [joking!]

i start crafting a very long time ago...
when i was in school, i love giving notes (cute one! - with pretty sketches) to my friends...
when i was in boarding school...i always making cards out of used thing; mcD box, paper bag, etc
when i was in my collage years..i start making pretty cards..pop-up cards..and more and more...
my passion towards handmade cards growing
until i was dumped by a guy..was so frustrated [like i don't want to live anymore - refer to the phrase "can't live without you!" ha ha ha]..i'm a little bit depressed for a while
when one day i woke up and said to myself that i must do something that makes me happy and content
so i went shopping!and as soon as i saw a craft supplies shop and it did triggering my eagerness to make handmade cards to full bar..i started to make it official!
am not as good as the other crafter..but i love doing it because creating something pretty is something..and when your customer satisfy and happy with it..is another thing!

beautiful thing really makes people's day!

so let us make this world beautiful and pretty-ful

above: grill fish

ahaa! since i accidentally uploading this image here... how about sharing some recipes?

what you need : fish (am using dory fish), veggie (to your liking - carrots, broccoli, potatoes, capsicum, asparagus, etc), onions, garlic, lemon, salt, black paper, italian herbs (or you may opt for basil+oregano+a bit of sage and rosemary), olive oil

how to grill it : season the fish with salt and black paper, squeeze some lemon on the fish (thoroughly - to remove the unwanted smell), chopped garlic and some olive oil
take a tray and layer it with aluminium foil (so you wont get a sticky tray later!), arrange with a round cut onion and sprinkle with some olive oil - put the fish on top of it - arrange the veggie (you may dip the veggie in a hot boiling water for a while to soften it a bit) - put some more onion on top of the fish - sprinkle it with some chopped garlic, italian herbs, black paper, and lemon zest
pre-heat your oven to 190 deg c, and grill it until the fish turns brown (it is up to your liking - i do not prefer it dry because i like to eat it while the lemon zest still there..so i take it off after the veggie looks like it have been grilled a bit! *wink*)

actually this is my own try-and-error recipes
i love it more when the laziness struck me...so this is my instant meal!

till then..cheers!

be thankful and grateful.. [ this is me..reminding myself!]

how about cotton?

so today i feel like talking about cotton!
(since i'm selling cotton fabrics @ http://hammieheartshoppe.blogspot.com/)

i love cotton because it is so comfortable - breathable and cool! i think because the texture absorb and release moisture easily and it is a natural fabric.. and it lasts for years too (can be use as everyday-wear because its easy to handle and taken care of compared to chiffon or silk)!
care of cotton fabric may be vary...depends on the material. blends cotton such as with silk, linen, wool, or polyester..or some got embroidery etc..so it may require additional or different care
you may check and read the care label (if any) to ensure you are caring for the fabric properly

so what you should know about cotton?

Pre-treat any stains prior to washing the cotton fabric. Apply the spot treatment directly to the stains on the fabric. Rub it in. If the stain is set in, dried or old, let the spot treatment soak in to the fabric for several minutes prior to washing [if it were of oil from curry or "sambal" you may try to use the dish washer soap -- i've tried it and it works!]

Pre-treat the fabric under the arms and around the neck of white cotton shirts with a stain remover. Residue from perspiration, natural oils and deodorant build up over time to create permanent stains

Wash the cotton fabric in warm water. Add laundry detergent to the washer as it fills with water. If wanted, also add liquid fabric softener at this point. Allow the cotton fabric to complete a regular wash cycle before removing it from the washer. Remove promptly after the wash cycle completes [my say: if you do not want to soften or change your fabric texture, DO NOT put the softener]

Place the washed cotton fabric into the dryer. Use fabric sheets if wanted. Dry the cotton fabric on the low setting to minimize shrink on the regular setting. Remove the fabric promptly after the drying cycle ends. Lay the cotton fabric flat on a drying rack or hang from a clothes line if a clothes dryer is not available. Allow to dry naturally over several hours. Drying dark-colored fabric in the dryer will fade the color over time [but hey we live in a bright sunny country, Malaysia..why need the dryer? --me say: dryer only shrinks your clothes and fades the color! so let it dry naturally..put under the fan also can what *grin*]

Turn embellished cotton clothing (anything with embroidery, beads, graphics or glitter) inside out before washing. Do the same for dark denim jeans you wish to keep dark [me say: do that to all your not-so-cheap clothes! -- i put all my color clothes inside-out to retain the color!]

Put cotton dress shirts and lingerie in mesh laundry bags to protect the items during the wash cycle [me say: put your knitted wear such as cardigan in the laundry bag too.. unless you want to make them longer or bigger!]

Use regular bleach on all-white cotton items, but only use color-safe bleach on dyed cotton garments

Wash cotton in your washing machine using warm water and laundry soap; use the gentle cycle when washing delicate items like lingerie

Iron your cotton fabric with a hot, steamy iron to remove unwanted wrinkles. Check the fabric for missed stains before you iron it to avoid permanently "setting" the stain

tips of the day:

Soak badly-stained all-white cotton in a bucket filled with water. Bleach overnight before washing
To eliminate shrinkage of cotton fabric, use a clothes drying rack rather than a mechanical clothes dryer and allow the fabric to dry naturally
Washing cotton fabric in hot water may cause fabric shrink to increase

a trip to the past...

well..not so past...its already a modern-well-developing-tourist-attraction city!
it is Melaka
really nice trip..having the infamous dish in the state - asam pedas, cendol by the river, the red buildings here and there, all the museums, baba nyonya and Portuguese culture as well as the infamous jonker street..Melaka is really something!
for the one that is so into photography..this will be a nice spot
[definitely will go again very soon!]

we stayed in a'famosa resort
the apartment is spacious
a bit "not well maintained" but still OK

the entrance of the resort

some wooden house in the resort
(i guess this is the Melaka classic architecture)

there were fireworks on Saturday night at the cowboy town
(one of the attraction in the resort -- but there are fees for the entrance)

and the best part of A'Famosa resort is the safari!

as soon as you park your car you can see the walking elephant..

on the entrance, there are parrots sections...

there is time and schedule for shows (you can get the schedule upon purchasing the tickets) - elephant show, crocodile, monkey, dolphin, penguins..and more!

and don't missed out to take a ride to the safari - fees only 1 or 2 ringgit (i forgot!)..but its cheap and reasonable...
a truck will drive you around the safari and you can even see them feeding tigers (need to check schedule for timing)!

a bit of some-interest-thing that i want to share
[^_^]

till then...
cheers!~
